Flame Retardant Profibus DP IEC 61158 / EN 50170 SINEC L2(Siemens Profibus)
APPLICATION
Profibus DP cables are designed for field networks requiring fast, cyclic data exchange between
controllers and field devices. This cable is usually referred as siemens profibus. This Profibus
modification optimized with respect to velocity and low installation cost, Profibus DP is used as a
replacement for conventional parallel data transmission with 24 V or 0 - 20 mA. With special design
for the outer jacket, the cables are flexible and are suitable for operation at high temperature,
protecting this cables from premature aging, while LSZH properties assure low smoke and corrosive
gas in the event of a fire.

CABLE CONSTRUCTION
Conductors: Bare copper copper wire, solid according to IEC(EN) 60228 class 1.
Insulation: Foamed PE compound.
Overall
Screen: Aluminium foil(100%)+Aluminium braid (70%)
Outer Sheatd: Thermoplastic PVC compound. UV resistance, hydrocarbon resistance, oil resistance,
anti rodent and anti termite properties can be offered as option. Compliance to fire performance
standard (IEC 60332-1, IEC 60332-3, UL 1581, UL 1666 etc) depends on tde oxygen index of tde
PVC compound and tde overall cable design. LSPVC can also be provided upon request.
